Celebrating my son's first birthday party was an absolute blast! I have had the sock monkey "bug" since Halloween last year when he was one. It was perfect for him and the cutest thing to see! It was a no brainer when I started planning his party earlier this year. Anytime I saw a sock monkey or something related, I thought of my sweet boy.
The actual planning was a little challenging. I couldn't find sock monkey party stuff anywhere! I thought about everything I wanted to incorporate and got to work. I designed and made the following:

The party was a total hit and my little monkey had a blast! His favorite part was the cake, his first taste of chocolate. He really could have cared less about the theme, but sock monkeys are now and forever will be close to my heart. They will always make me think of my very own sweet little sock monkey.
